Two years ago today Koa’s seizures ended.  It was the beginning of a new life for him.  He skateboards (on concrete), plays the cello, learns in two languages and loves everyday life. 

Much of his physical healing, we believe, has occurred.  For a long time he wanted to avoid the topic of his seizures and would become very frustrated with me if I discussed it in public.  Just recently he began discussing around others the time in his life when he had seizures.  A friend’s dog had started having seizures and Koa came running to me asking how we (he and I) could help.   That tells me now that he’s healing emotionally as well.
