Amazon Prime is offering free showings of the documentary “Lottery of Birth”.   It discusses how each of us are born into a culture flooded with beliefs that we perceive to be true, but actually aren’t. This applies to our loyalty to our nation, as Americans, in our beliefs, in our education system and in life in general.   Economists and historians fill the documentary with astounding facts questioning why we’d support such heroes as Columbus and why we think we behave in contrast to Hitler.  In reality our history reveals that we have and do behave in obedience in response to: politics, education, national pride and in other macro issues that would encompass even health care.  Obedience is what made Hitler successful.  Disobedience in the eyes of Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King brought clarity. 

There is much more to gather from this well executed documentary.  I would highly recommend it.
